I would like to change the portrait size to 40” instead of 48” width

This piece is absolutely beautiful, and Fine Art America delivered great service. High quality reproduction and framing, shipped quickly and safely, and fully met my expectations. I love Linda Woods art. Check out her portfolio.

I thought it would illuminate under a blacklight but I still like it. Description could be improved.

It is a beautiful image of White Buffalo Woman. The framing was done well. I am disappointed that the upper right side (background) of the image is much darker then what was on my monitor. I found that it takes away from the beautiful flowing dark hair of White Buffalo Woman. It would have been spectacular if the background was lighter. For this, I am somewhat disappointed. Artist's Description

Parasitic fly. Coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM) of the fly Ornithomyia avicularia. This is a parasite of nesting birds, especially house martins and swallows. Two large compound eyes (red) dominate its head. The mouthparts, seen below the eyes, include sensory hairs. These hairs are also seen on the rest of the body. The legs are segmented, and end in claws and pads to grip surfaces. This fly is on a feather. On top of the fly's head is a triangle of red dots. These are the ocelli, simple eyes that detect variations in light intensity. Magnification x13 when printed 10cm wide.

About Power And Syred

Science Photo Library was founded in 1981 by Michael Marten, one of the authors of "Worlds Within Worlds", a book exploring different ways to observe the universe - from electron micrographs, to images of earthrise taken from the Apollo spacecraft. When Marten started receiving requests for the beautiful images in the book, he had an idea of setting up Science Photo Library. Since then, Science Photo Library has continued to work alongside world acclaimed photographers and the leading science and medical experts to provide a central source of the best science and specialist imagery available. Although the collection started with scientific images, it has grown to encompass all aspects of science and their impact on everyday life.
