I stumbled upon these geese milling around the bank of the Mississnewa River in Marion, Indiana. One was watching me very closely. As I was shooting, some yellow baby geese rose into sight from below the bank. As I inched closer, the parents herded them back below the bank. That explains why the parent was watching me so closely!

Capturing images since 1969, my favorites have always been nature and people. I try to capture these images while maintaining a relaxed and unobtrusive atmosphere. When requested to take a portrait, I prefer to do it in his or her own environment, whether it be their home, office or garden rather than a studio. Macro-photography, those close-ups of nature's own, the bee harvesting the nector from a flower, or the spider spinning its web are things I try to capture. Vivid colors on a bright sunny day, or accentuating the ambience of, say, a foggy morning when nature's creatures are tending their business, and hopefully, not watching me, is what I seek with my camera in hand.
