I love the painting, and fabric! I’ve always had Border Collies, so they are perfect for me! The insert stuffing is a little lumpy. But i am very satisfied.
This painting is a young woman who returned home only to yearn for her Tahitian lover. She covers herself in her pareu, with memories of her lover and dreams of returning to him.
I enjoy traveling to Hawaii and Tahiti, seeing family & friends, immersing in music & dance, eating Polynesian food, and getting fresh ideas for new paintings. Before I started painting Polynesian art, I attended Art Center College of Design and received my BFA from the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. Many of my earlier pieces were created and painted while employed as a full time gardener for San Francisco. I devote my time now, to painting and drawing. I hope you will enjoy looking at my paintings of Hawaii and Tahiti and think of purchasing a print or canvas to bring the beauty of the tropics to your home or office.
