Description
This quaint little historic truss bridge was built in 1876, and for more than 100 years, has taken pedestrians across the Rhone River from Quai de la Poste to The Island and back. Beyond the bridge, the much larger Pont de la Coulouvreniere takes both vehicular and foot traffic over the river to the Tour de L'ile, a charming clock tower with a history dating all the way back to the year 1219. In the distance, the huge water spray of Geneva's most well known attraction, the jet d'eau can be seen towering over the waterfront area. I hand blended a little texture with my original photograph in black and white.
