Lianne, I have visited this image previously but forgot to fave and vote. So I will do that now. Thanks dearly for kind comments about "Abundance II" and others. F/V

Great image, it could be Lechlade, a spot where one can easily wade across the River Thames.

Lianne, A memorable, remarkable work this is. F/V Also thanks dearly for comments about the pink rose image.

Lianne Schneider replied:

Ah you are more than welcome Anne - I loved it very much. And thank YOU for this lovely comment too - it means so much.

Love to come back to view your gorgeous work! I just love the texture and the mood you created into this piece, wonderful! Thank you, Lianne:)!

Lianne Schneider replied:

Thank you so much Xueling - if you only knew how hard I've tried to recreate this effect...lol. I never write down my process though I sure wish I had.

...er, because the title says so!! Actually I meant to ask - Burford?

Lianne Schneider replied:

You are so darling...lol. I think so but I am honestly not sure Arjun. I very foolishly did not label my photos back then...had no idea I'd ever be posting them or painting from them. Thank you so much!!

Lusciously beautiful and poetically interpreted. The houses look like Cotswold stone.

Lovely texture and tone! Very nice piece! v/f

Lianne Schneider replied:

That's such an extraordinarily lovely thing to say Blair - I've never had the chance to travel much so my time in England years ago is a memory deeply cherished. I'm so glad you found this piece appealing dear Blair. Thank you so much for that xoxox

Lianne Schneider replied:

Ah Judy - I miss so much all the time I feel as if I'll never be caught up. So thank you very much for this lovely comment.

AWESOME! Both the art and the poetry are exceptionally fine, Lianne. I visited the UK in 1981 and was fortunate enough to visit the Cotswolds - lovely. V/F

Lianne Schneider replied:

Oh I hope it brought back happy memories Carol. I was there a bit later than that but still far too long ago. Thank you so much for your generous and always lovely comments Carol.

Lianne, this is exquisite!!!! We drove through the Cotswolds many years ago ... I'd always heard about the golden stone and couldn't wait to see it for myself ... as you've pictured here so very beautifully!!! The day we were there was gray with rain , typical English country side weather ... but the stone on the cottages still glowed golden!!!! I'm eating your amazing digital painting up ... it's like dessert for the eyes!!!!! v/f of course!!!!!!!

Lianne Schneider replied:

Isn't it just a little bit of heaven?? I have a few more images for this mini-series and just creating them brought back so many memories. Thank you so much sweet Lois. xox

This is very beautiful and peaceful, excellent post-processing!

Lianne Schneider replied:

I thought for sure I'd responded to all your comments but I guess it was hit or miss the day I was here. So sorry!. Thank you so much for this.

I love this Lianne! Beautiful work! -f/v

Lianne Schneider replied:

I am sooooo sorry it's taken me this long to say thank you. I've been ill but that's no excuse. Still - your comment means so much - thank you.

My favourite part of England. *sigh* v/f

Lianne Schneider replied:

It's very hard not to love it! I was thoroughly enchanted myself! Thank you so much Marilyn!!

Beautiful!

Lianne Schneider replied:

Thank you so much Lisa - so very glad you liked it!

I want to thank everyone who has left such beautiful comments and voted for this image. I'm very much under the weather at the moment so I'll be back to thank you personally and visit your new posts as soon as I can. I'd have done this in a blog but I don't think anyone reads them here on FAA. Thank you so much and have a good few days. xoxoxox

Artist's Description

I'm honestly not sure where the original image was taken on which I based this painting but it looks like many through which I drove so happily many years ago. About Lianne Schneider

I have a passion for the landscape of Western New York and for the sea that I am unable to express completely in my poetry alone. Contemporary, yet timeless, my digital paintings are modern realism but with homage to the classic works. In addition to my current art work, I have two self-published volumes of poetry, "Songs of the Heart's Longing" from Blurb publishing and "Ecclesiastes for Sixty: Seasons in Solitude" from Xlibris. Both...
