Description
This image is one of my favorite elephant pictures of all time. (double click so as to see it at full size). I was in Samburu on a beautiful partly cloudy day, and the light was spectacular. This beautiful elephant had just crossed the Ewaso Nyiro River, and then proceeded to dust himself with the red earthen clay that lay along the banks of the river. As he dried his body began to almost glow with a patina of pastel colors highlighted by the reds of the clay and yellows and greens of the pollen
