I was in the beautiful and quaint town of Staunton VA, left a little early for my appointment and decided to take the more scenic backroad to my destination. As I was driving down a little country road, I came upon this lovely scene on New Hope Road that I just had to pull over and take a snapshot of so I could capture the scene later in a painting. I found a pull-off, parked the car and proceeded to take a short walk down the two-lane country road to the spot where I could capture the shot of the creek and hillside. Within a minute, as I was heading in that direction and would only happen in the country, a very thoughtful lady stopped alongside the road to inquire as to whether I needed a ride, thinking that my car had broken down. I smiled, thanked her for stopping to check on my situation and told her that I was fine and had just stopped to snap a photo of the beautiful scenery.
