This is a lovely, original design. After stretching a white piece of fine silk onto stretcher bars and attached, all the areas to remain white were waxed with hot beeswax. The piece remained on the frame and an ochre colored dye (my own blend) was applied to nearly the whole piece; parts of the closest peacock were not dyed. When dry, the gold-ochre areas were waxed. Turquoise was applied over the whole piece turning the gold to green and the few unwaxed white areas became turquoise. After drying, the green and turquoise areas were waxed and then black was applied. Most of the wax was ironed off and then the piece was dry cleaned. The original was sold recently. The artist's print is 8" X 10", PRINTED ON SILK, matted with an 11" X 14" mat and comes in a plastic sleeve, ready for framing. Price is $75 and must be ordered directly from the artist.
