This drawing was done in graphite referencing a photograph of an unknown photographer. The woman portrayed shows the wear and tear of more than a few rough years, yet has the expression of persistence and determination to get where she intends to go. The original is not for sale. Note cards available directly from artist on all of her images.

Diana E. Davenport was born in Norfolk, Va. and raised in Portsmouth, Va. where she is now the Supervisor of Art Education for the Portsmouth Public Schools. She holds a undergraduate degree in Art Education from Radford University, an MA in Educational Administration from Old Dominion University, and a MA in Interdisciplinary Art Studies(painting and photography) from Virginia Commonwealth University. Trained as an art educator, Diana has worked in a wide variety of media over the years.
