There is a fantastic collection of petrified wood in the Gingko National Forest on the Columbia River. Fascinating!

I am not much of a photographer so I can only say what I "like" but this play of light on the petrified would is very appealing to me.
Nice use of light

What a super capture. Christine, you have the ability to see a photo opportunity that others would not recognize. A vote.
Thanks Dale, we all indeed see things differently and that is why FAA fascinates me. I don't sell much but I sure like sharing our visions.

That's a great find. I use to dig 3 feet down to find petrified wood in Utah, it always had a red color to it. Great shot. I like how the crystalline texture stands out. V/F
