The beach towel is really just for laying on inasmuch as it is too big and heavy to put around your body, which is just fine. The artwork in it is beautiful. I can't wait to use it.

Wow - I didn't realise it was going to be that big! It's a gift for a young member of the family - I think he'll be thrilled as he's a tractor fanatic at 6 years old. A practical gift too. The towel has a smoother upper side so it'll be more comfortable to sit on at the beach. It seems to have a thick absorbent power so no usual skinny beach towel.

Caveat right up front: I shot this from the bow of a moving 70 foot sail boat, hand held with a Canon 1DsMK2 at 3200 ISO and 1/30s with a Sigma 15mm Fisheye lense at f2.8 and passed the 16 bit files through Noise Ninja 2x times AND still it's very noisy.
That out of the way, this was an amazing evning. My soon to be wife bought us a sunset cruise on on for the pier front sailboat on the Seattle Waterfont. I wish I could describe the magic of the night. It was romantic and even though it was summer, we needed blankets to snuggle. This shot is as best I could do with the tools at hand to capture the feeling of that night. I've wanted to post this image for years. Finally I created a version I'm somewhat happy with and want to make it public.
I hope you enjoy it and that it gives you a feel for a very romantic evening.
