In the Edo period of Japan,prior to 1863,these women are picking the fresh green tea leaves in Shizuoka prefecture which is famous for its green tea and Mikon oranges.
This cultural scene has been created using professional grade acrylics on a canvas covered panel. The overall size is 12X16 inches which is 30X40 centimeters.
