Description
Grevillea magnifica, common name pink pokers, was previously regarded as subspecies magnifica of grevillea petrophiloides. This example is showing its wares in Maranoa Gardens, in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. I think you might agree that it's an amazing looking flower, with its bright pink base and blue anthers. This is an Australian native plant. As a bonus in the image, what may be a leafcutter bee is poised above the flower, ready to do some leafcutting, I guess.
