Beautiful piece!

The print I ordered is perfect. I felt like the colors and overall look were correct/ like the original piece, which is what I wanted. I ordered it right at the deadline for getting it by Christmas, but received it a few days early before Christmas. Thank you very much!

Artist's Description

The Pines of Rome by Ottorino Respighi is my reference point for associating Rome and pine trees. As mature trees pinus pinea are indeed impressive, and seemed to be all over the place in Rome. The pine trees were monumental. I was lost but Rome was all around me. I just had to walk down the hill, find my way into the Trastevere, and to Dar Poeta. Nothing to it.

I use Aperture and Photoshop to work with highlights & shadows which often brings out the elements in a photograph for which I have primary interest. I have no hesitation using any other tool if the results make the photograph work. My preference is to do nothing to a photograph presenting it as it was taken. My web site is named light & shadows because both light and shadows are the visual elements which hold the most fascination for me. If time and space put...
