A huge thank you to Mariola Bitner for featuring Pirate Ship or Sailing Ship in 500 Views!!!

Thank you, Lynne, for your comments and your interest in my photo! I've sent you a message.

My gosh Sue, this is a fantastic shot. It almost makes me sick to my stomach that someone would set fire to that beautiful boat. Maybe whoever owned it had to get rid of it, but surely it could have been stripped for salvage, or something rather than just torching it. What a shame. My name's Lynne, and my husband, Don Wright started Abandoned and Forlorn last March, had to give up the admin duties due to health problems. A and F is a really great site. I have a big favor to ask, and I'd certainly not blame you for not agreeing to it, but I am a painter in oils and watercolors and I would like to ask your permission to paint this wonderful old vessel some day. Evem of upi agree. it may be sometime before I can do it. I'm working on a book cover for a fellow right now, and have two other paintings in the works. If I were to paint it, I would change the surroundings, the sky, etc., so in no way would it resemble your wonderful photograph. I have no desire to copy another's work. You can find me here on FAA under my name, Lynne Wright, if you'd like to get an idea of what I do. Thanks so much for your time and consideration. Lynne.

Many thanks to Chuck De La Rosa for featuring this image in Abandoned and Forlorn!!

Thank you, Cheryl, for your comment and your vote! I've been trying to find the first pictures I took of this ship, but they are on film and are more difficult to find than digital. One of these days...

Nice lampreys over there, so nice print and I love the lampreys saying: missing you, wish you were here. Great quality and very practical item.

I am in love with "My Tropical Kitchen" purse. I also am deeply dissatisfied however, that there is no mention of Jade Moon's name on the product. Her work is more than worthy of her name to be associated with her beautiful products. People constantly mention that my purse is beautiful as I display it on a counter at a point of sale. I have to tell them whose work it is. Everyone recognizes her name. Jade Moon deserves recognition for her talent as an artist; her name should be on the product. PX Pixels is meaningless to me. I wish it wasn't sewed in to the seam. I am so proud of my "My Tropical Kitchen" purse. I bought it for myself on my 80th birthday. I would be thrilled if Jade could autograph it for me. I am sorry I have no means to take or send a photo.

Artist's Description

THE WATERMARK WILL NOT APPEAR ON PURCHASED IMAGE The first time I saw this ship it was in much better condition. It made me think of a pirate ship. I just caught a glimpse of the masts and made a note of the exit so I could stop on my return trip. I'm so glad I stopped because the next time I saw it, someone had set fire to it.
