A lovely painting but it was a little dark on the canvas. If I were to reorder, I might order as a print instead, hoping it might be a little brighter.

A fun canvas of an unusual composition.

This was a good canvas but I may order it in a different format to show the iiridescence of the feathers so it will be more true to the original.

I was very excited to discover this piece as it has several memorial sentiments on it and they are all beautiful. I got one that I can hang on the wall and it's a beautiful job. Very touching and the artist was great

About Brian Wallace
I'm a retired communications instructor/developer, raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland (USA). I have a wide range of interests which include some artistic talent. My eclectic tastes, thirst for variety, and preference for images over words, eventually lead me through the internet to the world of 3D stereo in 2005. Since I've been with Fine Art America, I've focused primarily on regular photography with a touch of digital manipulation to better compose the images and ideas. Each time I think I've reached a peak, I find myself crossing another threshold that challenges my abilities and talents while paving way to another plateau. Thanks Luther Fine Art, for featuring my work in the group, https://fineartamerica.com/groups/abc-group--a-is-for-abandoned.html

Thank you Don. I tried to have some subtle elements of radiance emanating from Mary. I didn't want it to be too pronounced as get all the attention.

How cool that you got to meet them. I've had the very same thing happen, and ended up making new friends. You did a really nice job with this.
Brian Wallace
Thanks for the comment Don. While I was at this abandoned lot, the one time owners (husband and wife) who had moved to the other side of the main road, saw my car parked and walked down to their old homestead I guess to check me out. I talked with them briefly as I do with anyone being suspicious of me with a camera, mainly to assure them I'm just a hobbyist. I guess they had a very strong connection to the old place and still live close enough to keep an eye on things even though the county now has taken it over to eventually make it a park area. With the economy these days the money and manpower for the work is not exactly a priority.

It's heartbreaking that someone even began to think this message would be needed in a case like this. We are living in bad, bad times. Voted

You're welcome, Brian. I just like this one. Sense of humor, yes... but, also looking into the small thumbnail, it is tunnel like... draws you in. In both instances I love it. It is a shame that they had to write the "don't steal on it"... but, that is reality, which is another reason I like it --It captures the reality of the world sometimes, even for those who are trying to aid others.

Thanks for the feature John!
