Description
Poppy Pollination was part of a gallery series here in Tucson, Arizona. The goal was to create artwork that reflected some of the creatures that help pollinate the multitude of desert flowers in the spring. I focused on poppies as my one flower with three butterflies showing up for work and one solitary bee, perhaps the first of the season. A spattering of well defined blue brushstrokes help convey the sense of rain, a rare sight but it does occasionally happen. It is a frantic time of year and the activity of these creatures is inspiring to watch. This piece is painted on four, square, lightly textured panels and floated on a coordinating square panel.
