Absolutely beautiful! They really bring lots of character to this dining area. Just a little disappointed that the bottom right hand corner of the metal frame was slightly bent.
Artist's Description
The Porsche 917 is a racecar that gave Porsche its first overall wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1970 and 1971. Powered by the Type 912 flat-12 engine of 4.5, 4.9, or 5 litres, the 917/30 variant was capable of a 0-62 mph time of 2.3 seconds, 0124 mph in 5.3 seconds, and a top speed of over 240 mph The Weyer-Gulf team experimented with a shorter tail and Porsche adopted these changes into the 917K, which dominated in the 1970 and 1971 World Sportscar Championships. In 1971, a variant of the 917K appeared with an altered tail and shark fins seen here,
About David Kyte

Being born in Detroit and having lived all my life in Motown, cars would only naturally become a subject for my artistic expression. My Automotive work tends to be not merely a photo with a filter applied, but carefully crafted digital paintings designed to capture the beauty of the subject car. I work in a rather traditional manner, avoiding the use of filters and digital tricks preferring to paint what I want using a Wacom Cintiq LCD display drawing tablet and programs like Photoshop and Corel Painter. This affords me the freedom to create images I want and not just what a photos allows, All the advantages of traditional media but without having to clean brushes. Because these are digital I work LARGE! creating high resolution...
