Perfect

The print is impeccably framed. I however am disappointed with the quality of frame. The picture of it does not explain that it is eco friendly and therefore not made of the same materials as a standard wood frame. It is compressed material and not worth the price I paid for the frame. I could have done better with the frame at Michaels.

The print was tremendous and was given to a 96 year old WWII navigator who flew aboard the Nine O Nines last July. He and his family were quite moved by the print as he’d flown 30 missions in 1944 and the flight in 2017 was probably his last mission as well!!

Artist's Description

This is the Portrait of Japan with two things that mostly represent Japan carrying the "Hinomaru" on back, which is the national flag of Japan, base white with a large red disc (representing the sun) in the center. The fish 'Tai' is regarded as a good luck fish in Japan. Also the Japanese consider red (aka) as an auspicious color. Clothing marked with the family crest is called montsuki, witch literally means "an object with a crest". A crested haori and hakama was pur over a crested kimono as a formal dress.
