Portrait of Amelie-Justine Laidin de la Bouterie, nee Pontois (1769-1846), and her son Charles-Edouard, painted in 1800 by French artist Adele Romany aka Marie Jeanne Romanee (1769-1846). Although essentially a realist work, the painting has a neo-classical sheen reminiscent of Romany's contemporaries Ingres and Jacques Louis David.
