Description
A watercolour portrait I did of Barry Manilow, painted during 1978 when he first hit the big time with songs like, "Mandy, Could it be Magic" and, "I made it Through the Rain." I used the scroll style hair that I've come to love doing using fine lines with a fine paint brush with burnt umber shades filled in with ochres, Sienna's and yellows. I used bright purples as a back wash to set the mood of his wonderful showmanship. One of my best Portraits of Barry Manilow and the most popular, this one is a top seller. I was encaptured by Barry's lovely big blue eyes and wavy long blonde hair and had to paint him, I found him to be a stunning looker in those days and was hooked on his great egnimatic sound. My mother too was encaptured by him. This portrait is the original work even though it's called Barry 2
I have another that is digitally faded for artistic purposes as an alternative colour take.
This work looks wonderful as an art print on any surface and all accessories.
