I was able to access your work via the valuable discussion group you were holding. I like the depth you created in your painting. Meticulous work of art!

Harold Shull

Thank you Jo. They loved it so much that they threw a party just to show it to their family and friends. Thank you Cindy. It took me around two months to paint it.

This is great! I can see that it would take awhile... Can I ask about how long? All of your work is wonderful.

This is so beautiful, they must of been over the moon with it, its a whole story ... and beautifully done.

I collect Doolittle Raid material. This image of the #7 B-25B as it flies toward the Japanese mainland to bomb Tokyo in the mid-morning of April 18, 1942 is exceptional. The artist has captured the look of the aircraft as it would have appeared flying through the gray rainy weather the mission was launched into. As the bombers neared Japan, the weather front lifted and sunlight began to penetrate the overcast skies. This artwork makes one feel they are flying in formation with this Raider. I have only one comment of a negative nature, and that concerns the nose art: It depicts "The Ruptured Duck" in a style that many witnesses at the time claim is not accurate. However, with the passing of time, witnesses passing away, and lack of photographic evidence, there can be no absolute accurate depiction of the nose art image, though 90% of the other art work that shows this aircraft uses the more familiar, and slightly different image. I'm satisfied with this print and accept this "artistic license" from the print author. It in no way diminishes the quality of the piece, nor its attractiveness. Worthy of your consideration and purchase.

Artist's Description

This was the most difficult portrait that I ever painted. The reason was there were 8 different portraits in this painting. 2 adults, 2 younger adults, 2 horses and one person on the wanted poster.

While designing hundreds of toy packages, Shull was also developing his painting style by illustrating these packages. Major corporations started to take notice of these package designs and Shull started receiving...
