Thank you for your inspiration! It makes me a company for the whole day. And at nights it murmurs tranquillity.

love this greeting card
"Rain-Night"
The dogged rain
Of unawakened growths
Is hurling down its spear-points
Into our walks and streets.
What new beauty
Are you striking out of dingy things?
The little pawn-shop
Droops to the pavement
Battered and damp,
Its blue-lighted window
Guarding a stingy handful
Of cheap carved brass trays
Bird feathers, glass clocks,
And green candle-sticks.
People step tightly by
Dodging hither and thither
In the misty way.
But I have looked down into
These rain-spear-stung streets
And found mirrored there
An unguessed beauty of dingy things:
Poured gold,
Melted blue,
Odd-shaped shadows of men.
Oh, I do not want realities!
Give me their misshapen lovely images
And unreached forms.

I graduated from Madonna University in 1988 with a BA in Commercial Art and one credit hour shy of a BA in Fine Art. I love taking pictures. It is an addiction. I have my camera with me EVERYWHERE, and I often see an irresistable shot practically EVERYWHERE. It's fun. It's exciting. Capturing an image that freezes a moment, holds an interesting visual and often puts an artistic spin on the everyday sights is just plain fun. And I love it. Having others see my pictures and enjoying them makes it all the more pleasant and enjoyable. That's how I went from buying my first digital camera a couple years ago to posting my photos on Fine Art America. I consider this a healthy addiction, and I doubt there is a cure. At least I wouldn't want to...
