Thank you all so much for your visits and comments. It was amazing to see this building and site less than an hour from home. I had no idea it existed, even though I know of the history of Annapolis Royal and the early settlements of North America.

Peaceful location and great capture.

The material was sent in a bag and was extremely creased

I am the artist who ordered these items. I was disappointed with the fleece blankets. The image printed crooked on 4 of the 5 blankets and the 'plush fleece' is very different from the plush fleece blankets I ordered previously. No where near as 'plush'. These blankets were unsellable. Also, one of the tapestries showed up with a thread that was pressed right into the fabric which made it unsellable as well. The reason I didn't ship these items back was due to the fact that by the time I received the order, there was insufficient time to return the order in time to meet the '30 day' from the date ordered deadline. This is the first time I've been disappointed with an order featuring my art by way of FAA. Sadly, it makes me hesitant to order again.

In 1607 Sieur de Poutrincourt built the first grist mill in North America in Lequille, on the outskirts of what is now called Annapolis Royal, the first European settlement in North America. Jean de Biencourt de Poutrincourt, known as Sieur de Poutrincourt was French colonial commander and received a large land grant with fur trading privileges and permission to work the land. Poutrincourt, along with Samuel de Champlain, and Lesgarbot established "The Order of Good Cheer'...which is recognized as the New World's first social club, in an effort to raise the spirits of those struggling through the harsh winters of Nova Scotia. He soon recognized the toil and labor necessary could be eased somewhat with the construction of a grist mill and the mill was built on the banks of the Lequille river, which is now called the Allain River. The mill was the first grist mill built in North America and is also reco...
