The Great Mother, Prajnaparamita, is the embodiment of the wisdom truth body of all the buddhas. She has a body of golden light and four arms. Her right hand holds the Vajra and her left the Perfection of Wisdom or heart Sutra. Training the mind in the perfection of wisdom is not easy but practice will develop a profound insight into emptiness.
Mantra: Om Gate Paragate Parasamgate Bodhi Svaha. Calm mind, calm speech, calm action and sublime wisdom will set you free.
About Ies Walker
My spiritual journey started with yoga. I became a yoga and meditation teacher and through the practice of meditation I came into contact with Tibetan Buddhism. Thangka paintings form an important part of Tibetan Buddhist practice and I was fascinated by the images of the spiritual beings they portrayed. For the past twelve years I have been taking lessons from Andy Weber and thangka painting and sculpting has become my passion. Andy is, perhaps, Europe's best-known teacher in the field, and after studying the art himself during his 3 year stay in Nepal, has taught all over the world for the past twenty five years.
