When will I get my order???
Materials Used: 140lb. Watercolor paper, polymer medium, acrylics, printed deli sheets, painted drawing paper, texture on Kraft paper done with gesso and acrylics, painted engineer plans, imagery, polymer resist/grunge paper, stamping with homemade stamps and acrylics, wax pastel crayons, sealed with a layer of UV satin varnished.
Meaning behind the art: I believe back in April or May I read an article in the Chicago Tribune about the bison being introduced to the prairie of Nachusa Grasslands, between Dixon and Oregon, in the town of Franklin Grove IL and how bring them back helped restore what once was for all the creature that use to live on a prairie. I had shared with my husband that I would like to see that this year. But the chances of seeing the bison on the prairie are not that good, some 500 acres fenced in for the bison on a 3100 acre stretch of prairie so one needs binoculars to see. I�m happy to say that a motorcycle trip this past weekend found us there...
Bio Laura Lein-Svencner was raised in Downers Grove IL not far from her grandfathers farm and resides now Darien Illinois for the past 30 years. Shes continued with her personal studies in drawing, printmaking, sculpture, papermaking and collage. Seeking inspiration from one artist to another, Laura has pursued her love of paper; this steady pace of exploration has led her to become a member of many local and international collage groups. She also co-founded the Midwest Collage Society which exhibits throughout the Midwest region.
