Congratulations on your sale.......Odon.

Thank you, Nablla. It is incredibly beautiful paper.

Congratulations. I love your description about the fabric.

Thank you to the customer who bought a print of this painting. I am not given your contact information so if you would like a thank you card, email me at artnomad@sandrahansen.com

I love the swirling colors and composition. Is this a photograph turned painterly or full on canvas painting?

Thank you for all of the compliments. It is a painting on handmade paper. So the black and silver color is the paper. The leaf bowls, flowers and swirling colors are my additions.

nice composition....well done sandra...

Sandra - this is my favourite of your paintings, although it was difficult to make a choice. I love all the India paintings - if I had the time and possibilities I would love to come with you on your trip but my priorities are with Africa (you ll understand why if you visited my site). Really wonderful and spiritually inspiring India paintings. Keep up the good work. Will write to answer your questions on my work direct. - best to you - Lizzy x

I love this image! I give it framed to the high school graduates. And use it for very special thank you notes.

I ordered note cards for my mother for mother's day with a photo of a bird I know she likes. They were beautiful! The photo was crisp and clear and they showed up even before the promised delivery date. Very pleased!!

My biker son-in-law loved his birthday card - in fact he has kept all the Mark Rogan cards I have bought him. His 7 year old daughter's birthday is a few days after her fathers' but you will see the Steve McQueen card gets "pride of place" on the mantelpiece even though it is fighting for space. Thanks for some really great themed cards! Kind Regards - Carol.

Artist's Description

At dawn one can say a prayer for one's family, light a candle and float the candle in its leaf boat decorated with marigolds as an offering to the Ganges River. The Ganges is a mother and will listen to your prayer. The handmade paper comes from Tangram company in Orchha, India. Tangram is a women's cooperative. The paper is made from the unused portions of cotton from a tee shirt factory. It is beaten into pieces and felted back together into sheets. This particular black sheet was marbleized with silver which became the basis for the water. The Ganges River is supposed to be pure spiritually but is extremely polluted physically.
