A fascinating composition James. Very unique. L

Large piece collected, assembled, rendered in acrylics while employed at Prodigy Internet startup. Stored in New York and available for sale to you half price.

Barbie Corbett-Newmin

Revisiting to second Connie's comments!

Connie Handscomb

Stunning! a compartmentalization of the modern hieroglyphics of our digital age; the labyrinth & mazes we have created for our electronic brains are here in an amazing Time Capsule artwork .. compelling, intriguing & ultimately satisfying. This is in an elite category all its own :))

Thank you Connie

Stephen Killeen

Fantastic work James... love the arrangement of the design and tones. very interesting to look at and great feel and mood. I liked reading the description as well... takes me back to the 1990s and early days of the Internet along with the later days of BBSes/modems. ;)) L/F!

Thank you, Stephen!

Catherine Sherman

This is spectacular, James. It has a vintage feel, yet also modern. I love the colors, and of course the composition is perfect! L/F

Belinda Low

I got the retro feel - this looks a bit like turntables where vinyls were spun and good ol' songs heard...V creative indeed! Great work, James! F/V

Synthesised subconscious designs in manufacturing during the early digital age. Highlighting the awareness of archetypal forms mankind continues to use since the stone age. Colorations are reintroduced gilded age via modern plastic acrylics. The underlying theme is modern plastics are both destroying our environs and beautifying it. It only depends on how you view this new material.

Nancy Kane Chapman

The feeling is other worldly....the colors so beautiful we couldn't conceive that they are not just design but are parts which function. Very nice indeed! F/L++

They did function once. Carefully designed to house intricate electronic parts that produced premium internet experiences. In effect they where the skins (masks) of the digital age. A series I started in 1980.

Donna Kennedy

Outstanding artwork James, love the shapes and colors!...F/L

Thank you Donna !!!

Barbie Corbett-Newmin

I love the colors and visual interest in this a-maze-ing techno-retro work.

Thanks Barbie!!! Painted in the mid-90s while testing new software at Prodigy Internet. Completely restored to new condition August 2015. Cherry wood box frame added.

Joel Bruce Wallach

This wonderful work neatly fuses the look of futuristic technology with the feel of ancient archetypal symbols, James!

Oh Joel! your such a charming poetic soul. I would sell it to you for half price you sweet man.

Claudia Mottram

Very disappointed. It was important to me that the date on the cover be visible and there is absolutely no way to see the date (I tried using a magnifying glass with no luck). The picture also seemed much fuzzier than it appeared on the screen.

Love my new work mug! Well done and generates a lot of looks and mentions about the albums on it. Would highly recommend this mug for any music lover!

The mug was delivered to me broken because it was very poorly wrapped (just in a carton box, no bubblewrap!!!). It was completely covered with scratched aswell. I hope I get a refund because nobody of the company replies my mails... Despite the fact that it was completely broken, I loved the design. It would have been a perfect gift for my boyfriends birthday...

Artist's Description

When I left IBM to become a QA Tester at Prodigy Internet. I was inspired to create a memory of this fabulous early internet company's premium offerings. This piece is a combine of found digital components packaging in the early setup of the company. White Plains, New York 1995 ( artwork completed and signed in the year 2000) on front and rear.
