Item arrived exactly as expected and well packaged. I absolutely adore it.

Lovely photo, excellent quality print. The greeting card packs of 25 came shipped in a ridiculously overprotective amount of packaging. Each set already included a cardboard case, but then all sets were mounted in the center of a shallow supply box about 2.5' square, sealed with metal staples (!), which were not easily removed.

Love it.

I LOVE the picture. The problem is that it was TAPED on the picture, and it wasn't obvious, so when I opened the roll, it tore. Have to say, that really bothered me. I can't really use it, now, and I don't want to buy another one. Had I know it would be presented that way, I certainly would have looked for it, although it was pretty stuck to that tape.

Overall was good, though definitely did not like my paper selection (Somerset Velvet), description makes it sound like it will look way better and higher quality, and it does the opposite, makes it look more vintage looking.

Artist's Description

In Greek mythology, the god Prometheus looked down from the heavens and took pity on humans living in caves, eating raw meat, cold and in danger from other animals. Taking fire from the sun, he gave humanity the knowledge of how to make fire, the singular invention which has led to all human civilization, and the complete transformation of the entire planet. Zeus, the king of the gods, was so angered by this he had Prometheus chained to a frozen mountaintop for all eternity. This painting shows Prometheus looking on in horror as humans in cars flee the approaching global superstorm that ushers in a new ice age.

About Edward Wheeler

Hello art lovers and fellow artists. I'm 46 years old and have been drawing and painting since I was very young. Art has always been a large part of who I am, though I've never attempted to actually make a career of it. This site seems like a wonderful place for me to start exhibiting my paintings and drawings to the public at large, to gauge people's reactions, and to correspond with fellow artists, the world over. Most of my paintings are done in oil, though I have done some in acrylics and watercolors. My philosophy is to paint in as many possible styles as my imagination can conceive of, and to avoid repetition, unless its for a good reason ( like a very good idea for a painting). Realism, Surrealism, abstract expressionism,...
