About Acrylic Prints

Mounting Option #1

Mounting Option #2

Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of an acrylic print.   Your image gets printed directly onto the back of a 1/4" thick sheet of clear acrylic.

The image is the art - it doesn't get any cleaner than that!

All acrylic prints ship within 3 - 4 business days and arrive "ready to hang" with four aluminum mounting posts (Option #1) or hanging wire (Option #2).

The high gloss of the acrylic sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

There are two different ways to mount your acrylic print.

Option #1 (Mounting Posts) - Attach your print to your wall with four aluminum mounting posts.   The cylindrical cap of each mounting post can be removed, allowing you to thread a small screw along the center axis of the of post and into the wall.   When you're finished, simply reattached each cap, and you're done.   The mounting posts act as stand-offs and keep your print separated from the wall by 1".   All of the required mounting hardware (i.e. posts, screws, and wall anchors) is included with your print.   Click here for mounting details.

Option #2 (Hanging Wire) - With this option, your acrylic print is attached to a 1/4" thick black board which has a wooden frame and hanging wire attached to the back.   There are no metal mounting posts at the corners.   Simply put a nail in your wall, hang your print from the hanging wire, and you're done.   Due to the thickness of the black board and mounting frame, your print is separated from the wall by 1.50"   Click here for mounting details.

Stunning artwork. The colors are very vibrant. I get compliments on this piece all the time. I was worried it wouldn’t be as pretty post purchase verses viewing online but this exceeded my expectations!

Where is this? It has not even shipped yet!

Ad said it has a hanging wire, it doesn’t. Has a big chunk of wood glued to the back with a hanging bracket. Acrylic distorts the picture in my opinion.

This rating is for Fine Art America only. Not the artist. I received this print on acrylic. It shows to have a silver back ground, but it was green-ish in real life. That didn't work for me so I needed to send it back. It cost me $32 to have it shipped, but $96....yes, NINETY SIX dollars to have it sent back. Fine Arts could have had a pre-printed label from their corporate account (like Amazon does) for it to be shipped back and then that ($32) amount deducted from my refund. They did not. So, basically I paid $120 to get a product that did not match the print online. Therefore, I will NEVER shop at Fine Art America again AND will warn everyone I know to beware.

I have seen this in person many times. I thought it would be nice to have a picture of it. I am so glad I got this.

Artist's Description

In 1935 Benjamin (Benny) Howard set the aviation world on it's ear when he introduced his Howard DGA-6 (Damn Good Airplane) named "Mister" Mulligan. Competing against other specially designed & prepared single place racing planes, "Mister" Mulligan, a four place cabin monoplane, won both the prestigious Bendix & Thompson trophy races that year. "Mister" Mulligan evolved into the Howard DGA series which became not only one of the1930's most noted executive and business aircraft but was also used by both the Army & Navy in WWII as a transport and training aircraft. Today, Howards are lovingly restored, cared for and flown by antique airplane enthusiasts. In 1982 Jim & Bob Younkin recreated an exact reproduction of Benny's marvel and that aircraft was a sensation at Fly-ins & airshows around the country. Though flown only on occasion these days Jim along with pilot Doug Rozendaal brought "Mister" Mulligan to the 2015 AAA/APM Invitational Fly-in at Antique Airfield near Blakesburg, Iowa wh...

About Brent Taylor

Growing up in an aviation family, I was always interested in airplanes. I grew up around airports, airplanes, the pilots that flew them and the mechanics that fixed them. So it's no wonder that I became a pilot, a mechanic and made a career in aviation that has lead to becoming the President of one of the oldest aviation organizations in the US, the Antique Airplane Association (AAA). I bought my first camera, a Minolta Hi-Matic F, in 1972 for the princely sum of $76 hard earned dollars. I had earned that money working on the family airport (Antique Airfield near Blakesburg, IA) mowing grass, dumping trash, cleaning and fueling airplanes or any other mundane task that was required of a 16 year old. That purchase fueled a life long...
