I had held off purchasing any Super Bowl LVIII collectibles or memorabilia until I found something that I thought was just “awesome”. When I saw this SI Cover, I knew I had to have it. Honestly it’s one of the best photos I’ve ever seen. Along with the captions it captures what Super Bowl LVIII was all about. Your Photog was in the right place at the right time and did a great job of capturing what Chiefs fans all across the country felt at that moment. As you can see I had the perfect place for it, it makes this wall complete and up to date.

Artist's Description
A very hot forest fire just south of the California/Oregon border created this pyrocumulus cloud at sunset. A similar cloud built up enough to create lightning a few weeks earlier. The clouds and smoke kept the fire fighting planes and helicopters from flying.
About Mick Anderson
While in college, Mick had the opportunity to work at St. Mary Lodge at the east entrance to Glacier National Park in Montana. It was in this magical place where he met several fellow students from other parts of the country who would change the direction of his life by introducing Mick to nature, the mountains, the guitar and singing, fly fishing, writing music, hiking, and -- most importantly -- the Single Lens Reflex camera! He had a chance to play with Pentacon, Yashica, Pentax, Nikon and other brands, leading cameras of the day. It opened up a whole new way of looking at the world, and started a hobby that quickly grew into a passion that has stood the test of many years. His first real camera was a Yashica Electro-35...

Great image!
Mick Anderson replied:
Suzanne, if we don't get substantially more rain and snow I may be photographing those heat clouds again this coming summer!! Thanks for the nice comment :))
Heloisa Castro
Wonderful work! fav
Mick Anderson replied:
It took a fire to produce this cloud in the dry heat of summer... now we have clouds caused by the cool wet air of autumn! Thank you, Heloisa, for the nice comment :))
Elizabeth Winter
Cool capture! Hard to believe a forest fire created those clouds! v
Mick Anderson replied:
And it happened more than once this last summer! This was actually the smaller of two that I witnessed :)) Thank you for the nice comment, Elizabeth!
Laurie Search
Oooh, some amazing clouds you captured here, dear Mick!!! And such beautiful light!!!! :)))fv
Mick Anderson replied:
It's so amazing to me, dear Laurie, that these clouds are caused by the fire beneath them!! :)
Jenny Rainbow

MICK, this is a stunning image. Your site on FAA is one of my top favorites (of course). I love your work & admire your expertise, creativity and many talents. Another fave. LF P.S. Thank you for your comment about the parading horses.
Mick Anderson replied:
My dear Anne, thank you again for your constant warm greetings!! Sending you a big :))
Jim Shackett
Majestic! v!
Mick Anderson replied:
Jim, this fire is STILL going in the forests of far northern California, and we have to deal with the smoke when the wind is in the south. But is was sure a sight that one evening!
Darlene Kwiatkowski
Wow! Amazing that such beauty is created above from massive destruction below! Incredible capture, Mick! fv :)
Mick Anderson replied:
Darlene, as of today that fire is only putting up a little smoke that is faintly visible over the mountains to the south. No lightning in the forecast, so it is getting better :)) Thanks for the always kind comment :)))
Valerie Anne Kelly
Beautiful shot Mick. Fv
Mick Anderson replied:
Thank you Valerie! Because of a fair weather pattern, this was the only cloud in the sky for hundreds of miles in all directions!
