I was disappointed that the image on this pouch was not very clear. The zipper doesn't work real well, either.

The blue flag is the provincial flower of Quebec, having replaced the Madonna lily which is not native to the province.
Iris versicolor Linn
Iris versicolor, also commonly known as the Blue flag, Harlequin Blueflag, Larger Blue Flag, Northern Blue Flag, and other variations of those names, is a species of Iris native to North America where it is common in sedge meadows, marshes, and along streambanks and shores. The flower get its name Versicolor from the Greek word Rainbow, in allusion to the prismatic colors of the species.

The Madonna lily is the symbol of French culture in France and Quebec, but it does not grow naturally in the province. Therefore, in 1999 Quebec chose a new flower that grows throughout the province: the blue flag iris.

Thank you Shelley Myke for featuring Quebec Provincial Flower in the Canadian Wildlife and Nature Photography group. Very much appreciated.
