When will I get my order???
This building is located on Appleton Street in the Lowell, MA historic district. I am always drawn to historic, and Victorian architecture. Its commercial, but very decorative. Somehow, artistry and craftsmanship was worth more to people than cost. I wonder if these skills have been lost forever...all the while endlessly admiring it and wondering what kind of history it had. What the people were like, how it was built, etc, etc. I am always inspired!
Debra Bretton Robinson grew up in Plaistow, NH and received her degree from the Mass College of Art in Boston. She and her family reside in MA. Debra is now a participant in the vibrant Lowell, MA art scene. Her acrylic paintings on canvas concentrate on the natural landscapes and architecture of New England in vibrating colors. Most of her work is done "en plein air" or on site, outdoors. Frequently her scenes are painted while on her “floating studio”, her husband’s boat, while he fishes. Her style borders between representational and abstract. The colors and lines of her paintings are inspired by Matisse during the Fauvist movement.
