Thank you Shelley Myke of Inspired Nature Photography!

How beautiful and elegant Anne. Voted.

Thank you Afsal. Your art is gorgeous! You are a talented lad!

Nice work dear!!

Thank you Fania!

You are very true to her. Excellent work, Anne!

Thank you Chrisann! I wanted to maintain the "feel" of the famous bust of Queen Nefertiti--thus the face on view. She is looking squarely at you. My intent was also to show she was a real person so her face has living features and not those of a statue or bust. Again, thank you.

Anne~ Amazing beauty! ~~ You are so creative, and you express with perfection.... :):)

Mary, dear lady, you just MADE my day! Thank you!

Wow. I wrote an Egyptian novel and searched everywhere for art for the cover. Wish I had known about this first.

Thank you May!

Good morning Valerie! No doubt this lady could have told the world much--thank you for your wonderful comments. Much appreciated!

This is a beautiful portrait Anne! Despite its symmetry the face is very vivid. It looks like shell open her mouth any time to tell us about times long past. Id like to listen.

Thank you Tony.

So nice

Thank you Anne-Elizabeth! The Queen was fun to paint.

Mere words escape me. This is just so beautiful & perfect it is beyond my comprehension to describe it. Thanks for your comment on my recent blog.

Thank you Troy! When I painted this I wanted the queen to be more than a bust that, while very beautiful, seems remote. I chose a younger version, too. The enigma is where did she actually come from? Her tomb was all but destroyed and her history all but lost.

Good morning, Nancy and thank you for such a nice comment. I have enjoyed looking through your FAA gallery.

I am very impressed by your work. Keep it up!!

Artist's Description

Down through time, Queen Nefertiti has gazed out from a bust that is world famous. This is my rendition of that beautiful woman. Mary, my sister, was an amateur Egyptologist and the queen was one of Mary's favorite subjects. Happy Birthday Mary--here is your queen.

About Anne Norskog

Anne Norskog

Art is in the eye of the beholder. I will not write in the third person here. That sounds pretentious and, most of the time, inaccurate. Being in the last third of my life, it becomes clear good health is the finest gift possible. Again, nature provides the most beautiful inspirations. Walk into your own garden. Stroll a beach or a path in the woods. Watch the sun and clouds or a kitten playing with a piece of string. Pay attention to the faces you see...they each tell their own story. Create something wonderful that has a piece of your own heart on it. The emotions that drive us human beings also drive our art. The viewer is respectfully reminded my works are copyright protected. Please visit me often. Kindest...
