About Sam Perry
My formative years were on a farm in the rolling hills of southern Ohio. I got my first point and shoot film camera when I was 10 years old and then in the late 1990s acquired an old 35 mm Minolta just in time for a backpacking trip to the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho. This trip opened my vision for a fulfilling hobby of landscape and nature photography. I took a college level class and also self-studied the techniques of many early pioneers in photography. I set up a black and white dark room and began learning how to print and develop. After returning from Idaho, I was blessed to find residence on a small fishing lake in western Tennessee. Here I was able to explore creation through a camera lens and further experiment using the lessons...
