I usually find my way to the city limits, where country roads quickly take me back in time. To places like this old-time General Store, just a short distance southwest of Cincinnati, on the Kentucky, or the best side of the Ohio River. This, almost a small town, was established in 1813 and now has a dog for a Mayor. This General Store was built in 1831 and has been in continuous operation ever since. I created this image from my original photograph taken on location by adding digital enhancements, textures or other effects. These effects and image details will become more visible by clicking inside the green magnifier square as the cursor is placed over the image.

My love for photography began as a boy when I was taught the basics by my father. During a tour of duty with an Army Combat K9 unit in Vietnam, I bought a professional model Nikon SLR camera and dreamed of becoming an artistic photographer when I returned home.
