Francesa, When I want to make a photo when i'm driving I set up a rig with the camera on tripod and set it on a timed repeating exposure where I don't even look at the camera and in some cases when I've had the radio on, had forgotten that the camera was making captures. Afterward, I go through the captures on the computer and pick which ones might work for an image and optimize those. I do sometimes make conscious images with my camera in hand but then, I'm not the driver and usually in the back seat so I can photograph out either side. I also will pull off the road and photograph the side rear view mirror with scenes both in the mirror and beyond the mirror. I've had two book covers doing that. It appears that the car is going down the road but there's too much in the image that was set up to be just driving down the road serendipity. And then, there are the cases where I will want an image looking down the road and will use a long lens from a position beyond a curve on a rise beyond a curve in the road that gives the impression of driving down the road. But there are times when I am driving and pick up the camera to photograph while driving... on a deserted dirt road driving really slowly so I can use a long shutter speed, holding it against the steering wheel to steady it. In the case with this image, you can see that the camera position was on the right side of the lane, from the passenger side - the camera was tripod mounted in the back seat so I could focus on the window and still have some depth of field to get both the windshield and road in near focus. I had to go through over 800 exposures to find one that I liked. Peace

This is way cool, but please let me know when you're on the road. I don't want to be driving near you.

WOW! Love the "Blur Motion" ~ Fantastic!
