Description
During a visit to Rainbow Springs State Park in Dunnellon, Florida, several hours from my home, I took many reference photos of the springs and the Rainbow River. There were wonderful views of people swimming, tubing, and paddling canoes and kayaks on this warm sunny day. The colors in the clean, clear water are an almost unnaturally vibrant turquoise in some areas, which no doubt serves as a reason for it's name. It was wonderful to stand along the shaded bank and look out upon the natural beauty of the water and foliage.

Penny, Fantastic nature painting showing breathtaking details in the foreground and the background of this remarkable painting. The colors are perfect throughout the painting and you can feel the emotion of the people in the canoe. Great shades of blue in the water to give it that shallow and deep area effect. Nicely framed as the viewer sees this scene through overhanging trees. Excellent painting, fav, voted, google and tweet promoted for CFC 3 link promo thread

I really like what you did with the water- and the colors. Very cool to see the WIPs. Do you know how many hours you spent on the painting? I have been trying to keep track of my work in respect to time spent on each for reference when deciding what to price them... always a difficult task.
