The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

We have a small home and very limited wall space, but I knew I had to share this on our main wall. I'll be putting it above our upright piano, to remind myself daily while practicing - embrace the transformation of bad and good, the transition of lightness and darkness - remembering we are whole.
Artist's Description
I took this photo in a parking lot outside our only drugstore here on the Hawaiian island of Moloka'i. The Rainbow Shower Tree is a gorgeous tree having many huge clusters of flowers of various colors. There are several different varieties of the shower tree, each having different colors of flowers. There are varieties having clusters of golden, pink, or white flowers. It is a medium to large size tree, up to 40 ft., seen in well maintained parks and streets in Hawaii. The tree is very drought tolerant and grows best in full sun, with hot, and dry conditions. The rainbow shower tree is a sterile hybrid. Propagation is by hybridization, grafting.
About James Temple
I've lived in Hawaii since 2002, 1200 feet above sea level, on the small rural island of Moloka'i. It is very quiet here, with only about 7,400 residents. I appreciate the quiet life after spending 35 years as a commercial illustrator, senior art director and design director for major advertising agencies and design studios in Chicago, San Francisco and Palo Alto California. I've always loved cooking. In 2002 that love led me to a degree in the Culinary Arts just before moving to Hawaii. Since then I designed and built a house, worked in local restaurants, self-published three cookbooks, and took up photography as a hobby. Now retired, I spend most of my time developing recipes and photographing them, plus researching and writing...
