Artist's Description
The “Rare Breed” series are from a photo shoot I did yesterday at the city square of Springfield, MO. These kids can visit Rare Breed from 3-11 PM five days per week to get some rest, something to eat, and get out of the elements. At night they sleep in sewer pipes and abandoned buildings. During the day they congregate at the City Square where they have garnered an undeserved bad rep as litter bugs and trouble makers, so they took it upon themselves to organize a downtown cleanup day, which I had the great fortune to photograph.

Retired from the U.S. Navy, I now have the time to pursue my photography full-time. Much of my work depicts life in the Ozarks of Southwest Missouri. I shoot both film and DSLR with the highest quality standards possible in today's technology. My photographs have been featured in the popular blogs iPhone Diva, Shutterbug Magazine, Back Roads Living, and were selected to be shown at the 2012 LA Mobile Arts Festival.
