On the morning of January 29, 2010, we awoke to find a rare fog all around, obscuring the regular view of desert hills from our backyard. This stand of saguaro cactus was as far as I could see. Thick desert fog is rarely seen in the desert, but when seen, it’s usually during winter on the arrival of a cold spell preceded by rain.
