The ship in this picture is the Algolake. On this Day Lake superior was very clam. I drove all around looking for different angles of the giant and the reflection. I then realized that I lost a neutral density filter, so I tried to retrace my steps and walked all along the shore out at Mission Marsh looking at the ice , snow and sand following my foot prints. After about a half a hour of looing I gave up and decided to try Hillcrest park. The Algolake was moving around in circles, I found out later the name of the ship from a friend and the reason for the strange manoeuvres in the bay, they were having motor problems. This made for a Great shot. Cheers Calvin

A little about me, Born and Raised in Thunder Bay Ontario Canada. Raised by a single Mother who was a bit of a Hippy who loved to travel with her two boys. I can Always remember her having a camera around her neck. So we would often go hiking, canoeing or sightseeing. Later as I got older She gave me a camera. I mostly snapped pictures of kids jumping there bikes off ramps we built in a vacant lot next door. I also can recall on a Christmas trip to Florida on the beach as the sun set I kept walking to the same spot next to the board walk standing in my foot steps each time as the sun went down taking shots of the setting sun every 10 minutes until the sun disappeared in the the Ocean. I think I still have that set of photographs. Then...
