This was awful I’m sorry to say! The bird image was so faint that even when taken outside you couldn’t see the image.

My daughter loves this T-shirt. Honestly it’s great quality and of course the painting is beautiful. Highly recommended!

I love my T shirt. It’s so comfortable and it gets lots of questions...is it a flag? No, it’s a mailbox. Thank you Blaise Auberson for your talent and intelligence!

Print is awesome but sizing for this is terrible. I normally wear a xl but figured with the print I would get a 2xl to be safe. This shirt is so small I can't wear it. I looked at the size chart on the website prior to selecting the size which showed just fine. Based on that, that is why I got the larger size. It's currently collecting dust in my closet. What a waste of $25! :(

Artist's Description

The serpent and eagle emblem, found in Mexico's National Coat of Arms, was inspired by an Aztec legend regarding the founding of Tenochtitlan. According to popular legend, the Mexica (pronounced "me-shee-ka"), then a nomadic tribe, were wandering throughout Mexico in search of a sign that would indicate the precise spot upon which they were to build their capital. The god Huitzilopochtli had commanded them to find an eagle on top of a nopal cactus devouring a snake. After wandering for hundreds of years, they found the promised sign on a small island in the swampy Lake Texcoco. Here, they founded their new capital in 1325, named Tenochtitlan (meaning "Place of the Nopal Cactus"), which later became known as Mexico City, the current capital of Mexico. With "Raza", I wanted to pay tribute to my rich Mexican history by creating an elaborate collage utilizing a collection of cultural, historical, and political images. Floating above the detailed background, and flanked by green and r...

About Roberto Valdes Sanchez

I was born in the small agricultural community of Yuba City, California on November 20, 1979. Since childhood, and as long as I can remember, art has always been an important part of my life. In high school, I participated in creating several murals as part of a beautification project for downtown Yuba City. This experience led me to understand the importance of utilizing art as a means of expression. In 2002, I graduated with two bachelors degrees at California State University, Sacramento: one in Art Studio and the other in Ethnic Studies (with an emphasis on Chicano Studies). After graduation, I had the opportunity to attend the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California. At the Academy, I furthered my artistic...
