Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print.   Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum.

The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

All metal prints ship within 3 - 4 business days and arrive "ready to hang" with mounting hooks and nails.

Metal prints are extremely durable.   They're lightweight.  They won't bend, and they're water resistant.

Not what I anticipated. I love this picture, Island Splendor, for it's informal hominess, colors, and style. I chose to order it on a metal backing. The picture is printed well, it's easy to hang, it looks sturdy, it was very well packed, and arrived in a few days after I ordered it. However, I do not like that shiny glass look of it at all, and I would never order metal again. This result looks nothing at all like metal! I chose not to return it, though I am not certain what use I will make of it. Because the quality itself is good and I have ordered three other times with good results I gave this 4 stars.

These guys were amazing to work with. I order my prints then realized I needed by a certain date to get it by my wife’s birthday and they jumped on it, and made me look good, because it was here before her birthday and the print is amazing.

The art arrived timely and undamaged, exactly how it appeared on the web site. I am very pleased with the quality of the print.

Artist's Description

Forgotten Territory The burial and excavation of the history of African Americans fuels my current practice as a painter. I have found that the cities of Savannah, Richmond, and Charleston were significant points of trade in the trans-Atlantic slave trade and as such were rich in history. Thousands of people had been sold, families torn apart, lives and spirits destroyed. Relics of amazing stories of survival and resolve waiting to be unearthed. This history is not particularly important in the larger sphere of American and world history. Its erasure can be contributed to institutionalized racism. Forgotten and buried artifacts, sacred sites, and even burial grounds are at constant risk of an eminent peril. Richmond's Shockoe Bottom was such a site. In the years between the ban on the slave trade and the end of the Civil War, Shockoe Bottom functioned as one of the most important slave trading centers in the United States. It has been estimated that up to 350,000 people of African d...

About Monica James

Monica James

Biography I grew up watching science fiction movies as an enjoyable family pastime. Favorites such as Forbidden Planet, Dune, 2001, and Alien fascinated me visually. I was drawn to the images of the stars, planets, galaxies, robotics, circuitry, and technology. I wondered what was beyond our mundane world and what the future would hold for mankind. This element of science, both fiction and fact influences the abstractions in my work today. It is through the perspective of modern technology that history is viewed in my paintings. I was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, and raised between two cities, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. Growing up science, music, and art were a part of the household. I have many fond memories of trips to the...
