Ditto the review for the Penguins towel!

We are extremely pleased! The artwork was exactly what we were looking for and the towel quality is superior. Great birthday gift for my son who couldn’t have been more excited upon opening the gift! This is my second time purchasing from you and I will continue to do so, as well as spread the word. Keep up the great work!!

Pen Sherwood's Amitors artwork goes anywhere with Diana Kisselburg's words! Many years ago, my uncle Thomas (Tom) Phillip Hufford asked me to come up with a word the opposite of predator. Amitor is that word. Ami: Fr. friend, Amigo: Sp. friend, Amity: Eng. harmony, Ami: Formosa, Taiwan. Giraffe: non predatory animal unless young attacked. Butterflies: live, love, laugh, hope. Survive, thrive and inspire others. Pen Sherwood offered to do this Amtor artwork for free sharing the copyright with me for my Amitor concept. Amitor Tom would be so proud. Diana Hays Kisselburg

Artist's Description

Photo taken by my father, Leonard Shapiro, in 1978 at a Washington D.C. art gallery. The resting woman is my mother. She suffered with a bad back and though she loved getting out, she often needed to lie down. In this situation the open bench happened to be under a Recent Acquisitions sign which my Dad noticed. I am not sure if this was a posed photo or an impromptu capture my Dad just happened to notice when my mother went to rest her back. I believe this photo shows my Dad's keen eye for interesting photography, as well as his sense of humor. What I have posted here, is a scan from the original print which he produced in his make-shift in-home dark room. I added the vignette.

About Donna Haggerty

Hi - My interest in photography can be credited to my Dad. He began shooting black and white photography in the 1940's, building his own dark room in the 1960's. My sisters and I were always told to "stand here or there with a pose" as he captured a moment and place in time. I now understand his delight in seeing an image come to life, albeit not in a dark room but on a computer screen. Dabbling with rapidograph pens started in my high school days. In college, a professor led me to the art of metal etching. One can still find me doodling but now I do so with Micron pens. Thanks for your interest.
