The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

These two butterflies, the Red Admiral and the Painted Lady, were seen at a Garden Nursery in South Wales, UK. I loved the colour and design of the butterflies\' wings as they nestled and explored the soft down of the plant.
About Maureen Carter
My work is mainly in watercolour, as being trained as an illustrator, this was most immediate and transportable. However I have grown to love the medium more and more as I have illustrated books, mainly for children, and taken many various private commissions. At the moment I am also experimenting with Interactive Acrylics having really enjoyed working in oils at the start of my career, and hoping for the best of both worlds with these. However watercolour will still be my first choice. My painting is representational, and from my love of illustration and the masters of the past, each of my own paintings have a story behind them, a thought process that inspired me.
