The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Red Canyon is 7,400 feet (2,255 m) in elevation. The creation of Red Canyon began approximately 40 to 66 million years ago, during the Tertiary Period, when iron rich sediments were deposited in lakes and streams￿ forming what is known as the Claron Formation. During the Claron Formation, layers of limestone, sedimentary rocks, shale and conglomerates were deposited on the bottom of an ancient lake bed, called Lake Claron. Approximately 10-20 million years ago, the Colorado Plateau, a region that covers parts of southern Utah, portions of western Colorado, and the northern sections of Arizona and New Mexico began to uplift. The uplifting of the Colorado Plateau caused fractures in the rocks called ￿joints￿ along the sides of the plateau, creating the formation of the Paunsagunt Plateau. Over the next few million years, deep canyons were created and formed from weathering and erosion, exposing the layers of the Claron Formation. Iron deposits in the sediments, left...

My interest in art began when I was young. In my early school years, my favorite part of school was "free time," when I was allowed to go to the back of the room where there stood a big easel with poster sized paper attached to it and large bottles of poster paint sitting on the shelf just below. I would open those big bottles of poster paint and just start painting. I loved to paint and I loved being creative with all the bright poster paint colors of red, yellow, and green, blue, black and white. I thought that was the greatest thing on earth, however my painting career did not go far; l was never encouraged to paint, nor did I receive too many compliments on my paintings, but that did not matter to me, because I found inner happiness...
