Ah, Life in the country .
Welcome to Pennsylvania - in the NE of PA is the Pocono Mountain Region.
An early October snowfall left this brilliant nature scene behind.
Glorious Red Japanese Maple leaves against the back drop of the freshly fallen snow.
Latin name is Acer Palmatum
It was such a beautiful and surreal sight to see all the colorful foliage laden with snow.
I've never seen the skies bluer than that day.

Janine, just beautiful. It's like a tale of two seasons.
Janine Riley replied:
Thank you Janice - it was such a surprise to wake up to this site in October - but we were thrilled.
