Very nice bath towel. It is very large and thick. The picture is so pretty.

Very unique piece of art. Displayed in my living room and admired. Will highly recommend.

Daughter-in-law has the shower curtain, which she loves, and thought I'd get the hand towel to go with it. Didn't give it to her. The photo shows the entire towel, not what it looks like folded. When folded you only see some of the "splatters" on the bottom. If you turn it around the zebra's head is upside down. The way it's currently being produced, it isn't a suitable image for a hand towel.

I love the design but wanted to buy a towel that actually gets used - high polyester content makes that dubious. also: I was hoping to support American Artists as well as manufacturers - this sentiment got killed by giant "MADE IN CHINA" tag. Very sad.

Artist's Description

These are fairly large and their mandibles are strong, but if you pick them up carefully behind the head you'll be fine. They are called Reddish-brown Stag Beetles (Lucanus capreolus). These beetles feed on sap when adults, and the larvae eat decaying stumps and such. They are night flying insects and are attracted to lights. Their range is wide with a span of roughly the eastern portion of North America. This picture was taken in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, on June 3, 2011. You can learn more at: http://bugguide.net/node/view/3107 http://www.insectsofwestvirginia.net/b/lucanus-capreolus.html The camera used was a SONY DSC-H9.

About Mother Nature

I invite you to visit my blog - Nature's Wonders - which is all about the natural world in my neighborhood. http://mothernature2014.blogspot.com/ I always wanted to try photography, and my retirement offered an opportunity to do just that. The natural world is my first love. Here you will find pictures of things both large (landscapes, for instance) and small (macro) that catch my eye. I hope the images serve as a window into the natural world many of you don't have the chance to see. In a sense, I'm trying to create a guided nature trail, sharing what information I have about the subject. I'm always grateful for new and better information and welcome all input. Learning is food for the mind and soul. Nothing is ever...
