I've had a lifelong interest in photography, starting out with my first camera - a Kodak 110 Instamatic. I scrimped and saved for my first SLR in the early 80's and took literally thousands of pictures with it, until finally making the move to digital in 2009. Like many people, life often got in the way of photography and spending a day with my camera in hand became the exception than the norm. Still, I always loved the feeling of seeing life through the lens. In 2008, I was diagnosed and treated for a brain tumor and although I didn't realize it at the time, that event brought me back to photography in a more personal way. I came out of treatment deaf in one ear and functionally blind in one eye and more determined than ever to...
